Healthy

A well placed health centre arranges regular screening for the workers and provides primary health care facility to family. Workers enjoy the benefit of Group Health Insurance. Certified first aides are available in all the key departments and large functional areas.

Safety

Ananda is vigilant on safety assurance round the clock. All the employees and visitors are only allowed with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inside functional areas. Hazard warning and safety instruction are posted at all key areas including confined space entry, of lifting and handling material, of working at heights, of working over water, hatchway and housekeeping. Fabrication Halls, Shipbuilding halls & Slipways are fitted with water hydrant, in addition to usual stationary fire fighting system. Regular safety training on fire fighting, fall prevention, handling of heavy equipment, toxic solvents, and flammable substance is arranged in the Shipyard premises by certified Trainers.

Environment

The shipyard slips vessels on rail- wheel system to avoid contamination of river waters by dangerous slipping composite. It has nearly no emission into the atmosphere. Trees bordering the yard stand as a symbol to our respect to environmental issues. A natural gas based captive power plant emits minimal carbon to the atmosphere. All the buildings and working spaces in the yard are designed as energy efficient by the intelligent use of natural light.
